Beverly June (Biccum) Little

     Beverly June (Biccum) Little, 76, of Palmyra, died peacefully on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 surrounded by her family at her home.

     She was born on June 28, 1936 in Montague, New Jersey, a daughter of the late John Albert and Elizabeth Harriett (Collins) Biccum.

     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Johnny and Durwood, and her sister Betty Jean and her husband Richard.

     Mrs. Little attended Canisteo Junior-Senior High School in Canisteo, New York. Thereafter, she studied Nursing at Burlington Community College in Pemberton, New Jersey and then Medical Assisting at Delaware Valley Medical Academy. She worked as a Medical Assistant in Cardiological Testing at Deborah Heart and Lung Center in Browns Mills, New Jersey for many years and then in the field of insurance sales with Bankers Insurance Group.  She enjoyed cooking, sewing, crocheting, reading, crafting, and gardening. She adored butterflies and owls, but most of all she was unconditionally devoted to her family and friends. 

     She is survived by Stuart Jasper Little, her loving husband of 25 years; four children: Cindy M. Benning of Riverside, New Jersey, John J. DeMatteo, Jr. of North Garden, Virginia, Sherry L. Little of Centennial Colorado and Carl K. DeMatteo of Grand Junction, Colorado; seventeen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four brothers; three sisters; ,  one son-in-law: John Benning of Riverside, New Jersey; and one daughter-in-law: Sabrina Spafford DeMatteo of North Garden, Virginia.

     A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at Grace and Glory Lutheran Church, 683 Thomas Jefferson Parkway, Palmyra, officiated by Pastor Kenneth Albright. Interment will follow at Monticello Memory Gardens.                                                

     The viewing will be from 10 until 10:30 a.m. at the church.
