Gail Ellen Llewellyn, 85, a great mother, great friend, loyal, funny, and a genuinely friendly person who liked people and loved animals and nature passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2024.
Born February 9, 1939, in Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late William Leroy Llewellyn and Edna Mae Brant Llewellyn.
Gail worked at GoCo in Scottsville.
She raised two kids. No matter how hard life was she managed to keep her sense of humor and grace. Even though money was tight, she always found a way to get us ballet or karate. She was selfless and always did her best to make sure we had what we needed. She was our biggest fan and our cheerleader and it’s still amazing to me that she was my mom. I don’t know what I did to deserve such a great mom.
She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Holmes and son, Mike Weimer, grandkids, friends, her sister, and her former husband.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at Scottsville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers it is requested that donations be made to Caring for Creatures or an animal charity of your choice.
