William E. Shifflett

     William Edward "Eddie" Shifflett, 77, died Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at Envoy at the Village in Fork Union.    

     He was born on May 17, 1939, a son of the late William Henry and Altha Mae (Lamb) Shifflett.     

     Eddie owned and operated Eddie's Rooter Service and Crozet Sanitary Service for a number of years.  He was a hard worker and enjoyed watching NASCAR.   

     Survivors include his friend, Shelby D. Rasnake of Scottsville; his children, Wade and Yvonne Shifflett of Charlottesville; two sisters, Ethel Pugh and Emma Mae Morris; a brother, John Henry Shifflett; his former wife and mother of his children, Laverne McCauley; and a number of other extended family members.    

      A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, February 17, 2017 at the Scottsville Cemetery by the Reverend James C. Jetton.

     In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Envoy at the Village, PO Box 669, Fork Union, VA 23055.
