Margaret  Marie Tyler Rush of Esmont, VA went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 7, 2018 at UVA Transitional Hospital in Charlottesville, VA.  She was born September 5, 1939, a daughter of the late Adelaide Allen and James Tyler.
She was educated in the Albemarle County Public Schools and retired from the Blue Ridge Hospital in Charlottesville after many years of service.  Margaret confessed Christ at an early age, was baptized, and became a faithful member of the Chestnut Grove Baptist Church in Esmont, VA.  She participated in the Senior Choir, Ladies Club, Missionary Circle, a former usher, and always served on the food committee until her health no longer allowed.  When Margaret wasn't able to prepare food anymore, she offered monetary donations toward the cause.  She was very committed to God and to the church.
Though Margaret was quiet in nature, she loved people and her family.  Her face would just light up when her grandchildren or great-children were around.  Her favorite pastimes were yard sales with her husband, traveling with her sister, cruising with her daughters, and she was a avid soap opera addict.  Margaret was a excellent  cook and she enjoyed it.  She made the absolute BEST homemade coconut cakes and rolls in Esmont.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Martin Rush, Sr.; daughter Selma Rush; and several siblings.
She leaves to cherish sweet memories one daughter, C. Suzette (Kenneth Jr.) Thompson of Woodland Hills, CA; two sons, Martin Rush Jr. (Rebecca) and Anthony Rush (Jennifer) all of Esmont; 14 grand-children; 13 great-grandchildren, one sister; Josephine Feggans; two brothers-in-law, Andrew Feggans Sr. and M. Landon Rush; one sister-in-law, Maryanne Rush; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who will truly miss her sweet and kind demeanor.
