Music by The Piano Brothers

William Albert Wyatt, 93, of Charlottesville, met his beloved Jesus face to face on Monday, December 17, 2018, at Commonwealth Senior Living. He was born on June 12, 1925, in Ashland, Kentucky, to the late William Cockrell Wyatt and Clara Bachmann Wyatt. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Virginia Cheshire Wyatt. Mr. Wyatt joined the Army Air Corps Enlisted Reserve at the age of 17 and was activated shortly after turning 18. His nine- man B-17 crew was posted to England, where they became part of the famous 303rd Hell's Angels group of the 8th Air Force. After the war he went to the University of Kentucky, graduating with a degree in electrical engineering. In addition, Mr. Wyatt was a very gifted artist and musician and some of his greatest joy came from being part of a barbershop quartet. Survivors include a son, James Wyatt and his wife, Rebecca; a daughter, Deborah Parr and her husband, Olan; five grandchildren, Jessica Brooke Wyatt, Adam Joshua Wyatt, James Nathaniel Parr, Michael Alexander Parr and his wife, Chelsey, and Kaitlin Elizabeth Parr; and a great granddaughter, Alaina Kristin Parr. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, December 21, 2018, at First Baptist Church, Park Street in Charlottesville. Interment will follow at 2 p.m. at Culpeper National Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to: First Baptist Church, 735 Park Street, Charlottesville, Va. Thacker Brothers Scottsville Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Family and friends may share memories and photos at www.thackerbrothers.com.
