Shelby Jean Shifflett

      Shelby Jean (Breeden) Shifflett, 59, of Scottsville, passed away on Monday, June 10, 2019 at The Laurels of Charlottesville.

     She was born on April 6, 1960 in Charlottesville Virginia. 

    Survivors include her husband: Timothy Wayne Shifflett; her mom and step- dad: Pauline and John Harmon; three children: Bobby Jenkins and his wife, Mandee and their children: Luke, Ethan and Ashleigh; Rusty Jenkins and his wife, Carrie and their three daughters: Abigail, Rachel, and Maddie; and Candy Jenkins and her three daughters: Kayla, Megan, and Sarah; three sisters: Sue McCauley and her husband, Oscar, Peggy Moneymaker and her husband, Jimmy, and  Nancy Brooks and her husband, Roger; and her special fur babies: Sweet Pea, Charlie, and Sandy.

     The family would like to give a special thank you to: Mary Webster, who cared for her at home; neighbors who checked on her; Hospice of the Piedmont (Melanie and Alex), who did an amazing job making sure she was well taken care of after entering into Hospice; and the staff at The Laurels of Charlottesville. 

     A memorial service will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at Colonial Baptist Church, 4218 Richmond Rd., Keswick, VA 22947, with Pastor Stanley Royster officiating.

     In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of the Piedmont: 675 Peter Jefferson Parkway, Suite 300, Charlottesville, VA 22911.

Shelby was a delight to take care of. I will always remember her positive attitude and smile. She was such a happy person! I will miss her very much. Thinking of you Karen and Timmy and the rest of the family.
