Shirley Ann Branch

     Shirley Ann Branch, 80, of Buckingham, died Thursday, July 4, 2019 at Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville. 

     She was born on February 1, 1939, in Buckingham County, a daughter of the late Bessie Burnley.     

      In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by a number of brothers and sisters and was the last surviving sibling of her immediate family.   

     Shirley was a member of Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church in Buckingham.  She enjoyed cooking and baking; working in her flower gardens and blackberry patches; and she loved Country and Bluegrass Music.      

     Survivors include her husband: Artie Herman Branch Jr.; a daughter: Betty Bryant; three grandchildren: Rebecca Bryant, Kenny Bryant, Jr. and Jessica Bryant; eight great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.

      A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 PM Sunday, July 7, 2019 at Mount Tabor United Methodist Church in Buckingham by Pastor George K. Schaefer.  Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.

    The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service on Sunday at Mount Tabor United Methodist Church.

I knew Shirley along time ago and went to school with her and we rode the same bus she was always such a sweet person. My love and prayers for the family.
