Pauline and family. Keith and I send our love and prayers to all. We were so sad to learn of Dave's passing. Keith and I, especially Keith, have so many wonderful memories of the wonderful, kind, funny and caring man Dave was. The many years Keith and Dave worked together at Transco as Keith said were some of the best times. I always felt comforted when they worked shift work together especially those late night ones. Dave never knew a stranger and always made you feel right at home. We thank God for all the memories and for the privilege of being his friend. May God Bless and comfort you all.

I had the privilege of working with David on several construction projects over the years. He was always a dedicated and hard worker, but found time to share a laugh or story. David was a fine person and I will miss him.

I hope the fond memories of good times spent together will comfort the family and help with the feelings of loss.

I have known David for many many years. My maiden name was Steger. I remember when he worked for Luther Baber at Centenary. Always was a wonderful person and wherever you saw him he was always the same. I feel blessed to have known him for so long. May God be with each of you at this sad time of David's death. I truly believe he is in his heavenly home with family and friends that have gone on before him.

To the Ayres Family,
I was deepened sadden to hear of the passing of our dear precious Deacon Ayres. When my husband was pastor at Thessalonia Baptist Church, Deacon Ayres was such a great blessing to us. We were blessed to have gotten to know him and your family. Praying much for you as your journey begins without him. Cherish all the memories. His life was truly a blessing to all of us and his memories are a treasure. May God continue to bless and keep you for He is Faithful and will see you through.
Love to All

I first met David when he worked for Baber's Store in Centenary. He always had time to talk to my brother and I as we rode our bikes by where we saw him. He made a big impression on us both as a friendly and jovial young man. We always stopped to talk whenever we would see him. I am sure he will be missed in our community. I think about everybody knew him and loved him.
