Aline Margaret Toney, 75, of Charlottesville, passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2022, at home surrounded by her family and loved ones.
She was born on March 27, 1947, in Buckingham County, a daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Amos) Woodfin.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two brothers, Cecil Woodfin and Frank Woodfin, Jr.
Aline is survived by her children, a son, William “Bubba” Toney, Jr. and wife, Virginia of New Canton; her daughter, Sandra Milliner and husband, John of Lake Butler, Florida; two sisters, Brenda Brumfield of Charlottesville and Irene Ballowe of Strasburg; her brother, Bobbie Woodfin and wife, Karoline of Scottsville; along with a number of grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other extended family and a group of wonderful friends.
Aline retired after 33 years of service as a CNA at Trinity Mission Nursing Home, taking care of many people in their time of need. She was a dedicated and hard worker and was appreciated by all her patients over the years.
She enjoyed traveling, going to concerts, and spending time making memories with her friends and family.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Legacy Hospice for all of their loving and compassionate care shown towards Aline. The family also greatly appreciated the time and support given by Aline’s nieces, Tonya Cosner of Fluvanna and Jenna Brumfield of Charlottesville, during Aline’s Illness.
The family will receive friends and family on Thursday, April 7, 2022, from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM at Thacker Brothers Scottsville Funeral Home.
A graveside service will be conducted on Friday, April 8, 2022, at 12:00 PM, at Buckingham Baptist Church Cemetery. Pastor Larry Hudson will be officiating the service.
