Alma Loraine Napier, 67 of Scottsville went home to be with the lord surrounded by family on Thursday, November 9, 2023.
She was born on April 27, 1956 to Bernard Woodson Sr. and Jane Woodson (Fitzgerald).
Alma is preceded in death by her husband William “Wilbur” Napier, her parents, and her sister Faith Hammer.
She is survived by her three children; Randy Woodson Sr. and his wife Beth, Lisa Gough and her husband George (Six), and Kristy Haley and her fiancé Craig Loving all of Scottsville.
Three grandchildren; Kelsey Haley and her fiancé Paul Jones of Troy, Raymond Patterson, and Randy Woodson Jr. and his girlfriend Savannah of Buckingham. Three great grandchildren who were her world; Kylee, Alivia, and Brielle Jones. Her siblings; Thomas Woodson (Sue), Bernard Woodson Jr, Donna Proffitt, and Wanda Floyd. A special brother-in-law Eric Hammer. Along with several nieces and nephews.
She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who loved Jesus, spending time with her family and cooking delicious meals. Alma also served in the Scottsville Fire Department for 5 years.
Her family would like to say Thank you to the staff of the UVA MICU-especially Dr. Intagliata, Dr. Ethan Smolley and Dr. Emma Trackman for the exceptional care they provided.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 pm Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at Thacker Brothers Scottsville Funeral Home by Pastor Randy Golladay. Interment will follow in the Alberene Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Monday, November 13, 2023 at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
