Anna Elisabeth (Janes) Critzer

Anna Elisabeth (Janes) Critzer, 82, of Roanoke, died on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at her home.

She was born on October 10, 1939 in Aachen, Germany, a daughter of the late Bernhard Peter and Maria Theresia (Schumacher) Janes.     

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Egon Schroeder, second husband Frederick Smith Critzer; a sister, Theresia Krone, and a brother Karl Janes.  

She will be remembered by six children, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at Fluvanna Baptist Church Cemetery by the Rev. David Martin Ssentamu.  

There will be no viewing or visitation. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Good Samaritan Hospice, 2408 Electric Rd, Roanoke, VA 24018.
