Anthony Michael Scanga

Anthony Michael Scanga, 65, of Mt Sidney, VA passed away on May 2, 2026 surrounded by his family. 

Tony was born on February 19, 1961 in Pittsburgh, PA. He is the son to Robert Joseph Scanga and the late Phyllis Barbara (Capp) Scanga. 

In addition to his father, Tony is survived by his two daughters, Lauren Scanga and Abigail Scanga; and his three grandchildren, Scott Saberg III, Alessandra Rose Washington and Elias James Washington; the mother of his daughters Melinda (Brown) Scanga; and his partner Wilma Click. 

Tony enjoyed fishing, or in his words, “sink some worms”, at the pond with his girls. He had great passion for classic cars and classic rock. His knowledge of music and artists will forever be unmatched. Working on his car with his music blaring, That is Tony! His family and friends will miss him dearly.

Services will be private.
