Artie Herman Branch, Jr. age 94, passed away January 31, 2022, in Charlottesville, Va. Mr. Branch was born in Wingina, Va., to the late Artie Herman and Lily Frances Vest Branch. He was preceded in death by his wife Shirley Ann Branch, as well as, his three brothers and four sisters.
Mr. Branch worked for the railroads most of his life. He enjoyed watching wrestling; listening to George Jones and vacationing in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.
Mr. Branch is survived by his daughter, Betty Bryant; three grandchildren, Rebecca and her husband, Bradley Mawyer, Kenny Jr. and his wife, Jennifer Bryant, and Jessica Bryant; great grandchildren, Haley and Vince Rose; Layla, Nolan, Jacob, Lia and Khloe; and one great great grandchild, JaNya Rose and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
The family welcomes friends one hour prior to a 2 pm Funeral, on Monday, February 7, 2022, at Thacker Brothers Funeral Home, Scottsville. A private family graveside service will be held at Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church Cemetery, Buckingham.
