Beatrice L. (Marsh) Herring

Beatrice "Bea" (Marsh) Herring passed away on January 5, 2024 peacefully at home in the arms of her granddaughter. She was just two days shy of her 98th birthday. She was born on January 7, 1926.

Bea was a dedicated mom and homemaker always ready with a meal to feed family and friends.   Bea loved caring for her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She spent her days working word searches and caring for her dogs. Bea is survived by her seven children Wayne Herring and wife Carol, Marie Sours and husband Wayne, Diane McKenney, Joyce Majors and husband Mick, Gaylen Garrett and husband Dave, Bruce Herring and wife Kate, Keith Herring and wife Anna. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild; her niece and loving friend Eva Collier; and her good friend Edna Armistead.

Bea was predeceased by her husband of 68 years James Herring (Jack), two infant children and two grandchildren.

Special acknowledgement goes to Diane McKenney who went above and beyond to ensure that Bea was comfortable and very well cared for during her last 10 years. A special thanks also goes to Gaylen Garrett who dedicated two years to assisting Diane in providing exemplary care to Bea. And a special thanks goes to David Sours for his contribution to caring for Bea. 

A celebration of Bea’s life will be held in the spring. Family and friends will be notified.
