Billy G. Aldridge, 84 of Scottsville, Va. died on September 20, 2022 at Albemarle Health and Rehab after a long illness of Parkinson’s disease.
He was the son of the late Robert and Minerva Townsend Aldridge of Scottsville, Va.
Survivors include his five children, Debbie A. Rittenhouse (Charles), William K. Aldridge, Barry K. Aldridge (Belinda), Tammy A. Southall (James), and Vicki A. Garrison (Richard); eleven grandchildren, Kimberly R. Sauveur (James), Clay and Troy Rittenhouse, Kevin, Ryan, and Ashleigh Aldridge, Morgan Brooks (Joey), Robert Southall, Amanda S. Brown (Gatlin), Adam and Alayna Garrison; eleven great-grandchildren, Seth, Carter, and Jace Rittenhouse, Jackson, Harper, and Thomas Aldridge, Alex and Jack Palmer, Isaiah Brooks, Adalyn and Hudson Brown; two brothers, Reed and Hugh Aldridge; and three sisters, Udee Payne, Dixie Fields, and Erma Roberts.
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Nicole (Nikki) Palmer; four brothers, Allen, Edward, Tom, and Bobby Aldridge; and three sisters, Muriel Bellamy, Juanita Mowbray, and Vivian Turner.
Billy worked most of his life in construction. He loved hunting and golf was his passion. He prided himself for getting his one and only hole-in-one on the third green at Lake Monticello, Palmyra, Va.
The family will receive friends from 1:00-3:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at Thacker Brothers Funeral Home, Scottsville Va.
