Billy Eugene Wilmoth

Billy Wilmoth, 86, of Buckingham, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at his home.

He was born on May 7, 1936, a son of the late Ernie and Ruby (Nicholas) Wilmoth.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Albert Lewis Wilmoth; his sister, Mildred Wilmoth Aldridge; a granddaughter, Crystal Marie Wilmoth; and his brother-in-law, Bobby Aldridge.

Billy graduated from Buckingham County High School in 1955. He was a member of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church for many years, where he was also a Deacon. He loved to fish when he was able and was a very proud farmer! Billy was a great father and loved his sons more than anything. He will truly be missed by all that knew him.

Survivors include his two sons, Billy G. Wilmoth and Robert E. Wilmoth and wife, Cassie, both of Buckingham; three grandchildren, Dustin Wilmoth, Ruby W. Ludovissy and husband, Sammy and Brittney Wilkerson and husband, Tony, all of Buckingham; three great grandchildren, Landon T. Edwards, Crystal A. Wilkerson and Westley Ludovissy; a sister-in-law, Shirley C. Wilmoth of Florida; several nieces and nephews; along with a host of extended family members and friends who loved him dearly.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Saturday. August 13, 2022, at Mt. Tabor Baptist Church in Arvonia, with Pastor Ron Noda officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at 10:00 AM, one hour prior to the funeral service at Mt. Tabor Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Tabor Baptist Church at 4898 Bridgeport Rd. Arvonia, VA 23004.
