Brenda Marie (Tyree) Beverly, 80, passed away on January 31, 2026, at Green Acres Rehabilitation Center in Stanardsville.
She was born on April 26, 1945, in Virginia, a daughter of the late Emmett and Ruby (Wyland) Tyree. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Caroline Juanita Roberts, and her daughter, Theresa Darnell Beverly.
Brenda is survived by her daughter, Jackie Page; her son, Troy Beverly; her beloved granddaughter, Kaylee Marie (Page) Harris; and her two treasured great-grandsons, Dylan Anthony Harris and Cooper William Harris.
Brenda shared an exceptionally close bond with her granddaughter, Kaylee—a relationship built on unwavering love, trust, and a deep emotional connection that shaped both of their lives. Their bond was one of comfort, laughter, and unconditional support, and it remained one of the greatest joys of Brenda’s life.
After retiring, some of Brenda’s happiest days were spent alongside her daughter, Jackie, enjoying time with her great-grandsons, Dylan, and Cooper, whom she adored beyond measure. Together, they made countless memories taking the boys to the park, visiting museums, and stopping for ice cream on hot summer days. Brenda’s love for her children and grandchildren was endless, and those moments—simple and joy-filled—meant everything to her.
Brenda shared a deep and lasting bond with her son, Troy. She treasured the time they spent together, from playing basketball and working on model cars to sharing days at the beach and evenings at the racetrack. Through every chapter of his life, Brenda was Troy’s rock—his constant source of strength, encouragement, and unconditional love. She loved him fiercely and faithfully, and their bond was one rooted in loyalty, trust, and an unbreakable connection.
Brenda worked as an Insurance Analyst at the University of Virginia Health Systems for 23 years before retiring in 2019. Even while working full time, she devoted herself tirelessly to caring for her mother until her passing—a true reflection of her selflessness and deep sense of family. She grew up in Schuyler, Virginia, where if she wasn’t in the kitchen cooking with her “momma,” she was fishing with her daddy. As a young adult, she loved attending local dances and spending time at the racetrack—and even raced in a few drag strip races herself, a testament to her adventurous and spirited nature.
Brenda found joy in caring for her family, especially through cooking Sunday meals that brought everyone together. She enjoyed browsing stores, spending time outdoors, planting flowers, tending to her flowerbeds, and cutting her grass. She was a devoted Elvis Presley fan who knew every one of his songs. She loved the beach and would happily pack up the kids for a day by the water. Evenings often found her watching Hallmark movies while enjoying her favorite treat—Neapolitan ice cream with Lay’s potato chips and a Pepsi.
Brenda and her daughter, Jackie, shared a bond that was unbreakable. They spent countless hours together, and Jackie remained by her mother’s side with unwavering love and devotion until the very end. They were inseparable—best friends as much as mother and daughter. The love between them was deep, mutual, and evident to all who knew them, and it was one of the greatest blessings of Brenda’s life.
Brenda was the backbone of her family—the glue that held everyone together. She was a steady presence, a source of comfort, and a woman whose love ran deep and unconditional. To know Brenda was to know devotion, kindness, and faith. She lived her life with grace, strength, and quiet wisdom. She always saw the best in people, and her love language was caring for others. Her home was filled with warmth, her hugs were healing, and her love will forever be felt by all who knew her.
Brenda’s life was defined by love given freely and without expectation. She was the kind of woman who showed up, who carried others when they were tired, and who made life feel a little safer just by being there. Though her absence leaves an ache that words cannot fully express, her family takes comfort in knowing that her love did not end—it lives on in the traditions she created, the values she instilled, and the generations she nurtured. Her legacy is one of devotion, faith, and a love so strong it will continue to guide those she leaves behind.
A graveside service at Alberene Cemetery will be held at a later date.
Thacker Brothers Scottsville Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
