Nanny enjoyed playing Bingo, bargain shopping, enjoying a dinner out at Aberdeen Barn, spoiling her great-grandchildren, game shows, "her man" George Strait, soap operas & going for daily walks. She was "Fixie" always ensuring everything was "Matchy-Matchy". She enjoyed designing and fixing up her most recent home, loved the ability to walk over and see her family at any given moment, and keeping tabs on when her "favorite son-in-law" left and came home from work. Nanny was known for her cleanliness and especially loved a Broom. She welcomed and loved her "Grandsons" as her own and was so proud of her family. She was able to enjoy many vacations with her family, including the most recent one just last month.
Brenda was devoted to her Husband's business, Flameless Specialties. She enjoyed seeing all of the customers over her 50 years of working there.
If you knew Brenda, then you know she was a woman of dignity. Although she didn't want anyone to know of her sickness, she spoke so highly of many friends from over the years. You were all loved and already missed. The family would like to thank everyone for the love and support during this very hard time. A special thanks to all of the staff at Fox Family DPC, especially Dr. Mallory Fox for her care and compassion and to all of the staff at Heartland Hospice, especially "Meg" who brought the family so much peace after her passing.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at Thacker Brothers Scottsville Funeral Home.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 9, 2024, at Thacker Brothers Scottsville Funeral Home.
Nanny loved flowers and those wishing to send them are welcome to do so, but donations to Heartland Hospice, Atlee Community Church – Scottsville, or a charity of your choice in Nanny’s name are also appreciated.
