Brenda Gayle (Payne) Ramey

Brenda Gayle (Payne) Ramey, 73, of Scottsville, died on Friday, November 4, 2022 at Martha Jefferson Hospital.

She was born on April 11, 1949, in Albemarle County, a daughter of Juanita (Gardner) Meeks of Louisa, who survives, and the late Dennis O’Neil Payne, Jr.
Brenda worked as a Secretary for both UVA and Blue Ridge Hospitals. She enjoyed reading and was a member of Rivanna Baptist Church.

Survivors include her mother; her husband of 47 years, Andrew Dennis Ramey; one daughter Angie Ramey Critzer (Travis) of Scottsville; grandchildren, Trey and Kiersten, Josh and Hanna, two great-grandchildren, Sawyer and Sully; and a sister, Diane Payne of Louisa.

A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at Rivanna Baptist Church by Rev. Larry Winfield.
