Carol Elizabeth Morrissey Scampoli

Carol Elizabeth Morrissey Scampoli, 84, of Palmyra, Virginia, passed away on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at home with her loving family by her side.

Born January 15,1941, in Mount Vernon, New York, to the late William Morrissey and Marie Travers Morrissey.

Mrs. Scampoli was married to the love of her life, Richard “Richie” Scampoli on February 5, 1966.

Mrs. Scampoli dedicated her life to serving others through her work as a Registered Nurse. She was also faithfully devoted to her church, Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church. She served on many church committees and volunteered as she was able.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by son, Richard Scampoli and her brother, Edward Morrissey.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her beloved husband, Richard “Richie” Scampoli; their children, Christopher and his wife, Laurie, Matthew and his wife, Rosalia, Julienne, Daniel and his wife, Roberta; daughter-in-law, Laura; grandchildren, Andrew, Matthew, Shawn, Alicia, Claudia, Kyra, Sebastian, Nicholas, Jena, Julia, Sophia, Kate and Thomas; and her sisters, Gail Walker, Susan Jackson and Jean DeFeo.

A funeral mass will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 4309 Thomas Jefferson Parkway, Palmyra VA 22963, with Father John Nyazi officiating. Interment will immediately follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the funeral mass.
