Carol Lynn (Wollett) Wigley

Carol Lynn (Wollett) Wigley, 73, of Scottsville, died on Friday, October 21, 2022, in Charlottesville.

She was born on September 5, 1949 in Annapolis, MD, a daughter of the late Charles Bertrum and Neoma Elizabeth (Knowles) Wollett.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Charles Wigley; a grandson, Christopher Lucas “Luke” Norcross; and her stepmother, Dorothy Marie (Hughes) Wollett.

Mrs. Wigley worked as an Optometric Assistant with Shenandoah Eye Care in Staunton and Weiss Optometrists in Palmyra.  She enjoyed flower gardening, NASCAR, Washington Nationals and UVA Baseball, and puzzle books.

Survivors include a daughter, Carol Elizabeth Norcross (Chris) of Scottsville; granddaughter, Laci Norcross (Noah Branch) of Scottsville; and her cat Bo Bo.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at Oaklawn Memory Gardens in Staunton.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at Thacker Brothers Scottsville Funeral Home.
