Christopher Fulton Obituary

Christopher John Fulton, 64, of Palmyra, Virginia sadly left us on July 23, 2024.  He was known by friends and family as a social butterfly. Anywhere he found himself, he effortlessly made conversation and friends that he held onto for years. He was an avid sports fan, particularly fond of the New York Giants, the West Virginia Mountaineers, and any teams his children were associated with. Chris’s proudest accomplishments in his life were his children, and more than anything he loved being a father.

Born and raised on the Jersey Shore, he loved the beach and Bruce Springsteen. He could often be found with his feet in the sand, a boombox loaded with a ‘Born in the U.S.A.’ CD and lathered in oil that contained no more than SPF 15. In his youth, he was an incredible athlete, most notably in wrestling. His mother still recalls the joys of washing his uniform… over and over again. As he grew older, he continued displaying his athleticism through running and playing golf. Chris loved golfing and played countless courses throughout his life, enjoying the time spent with his friends and family while playing even more than the sport itself.

A long-time employee of the University of Virginia bookstore, he loved his job and his coworkers. He dedicated decades to game days, collecting an unspeakable amount of UVA merchandise along the way.

He leaves behind his three children Kyle Ciaccio, Frances Fulton, and Scott Fulton whom he shared with Molly Fulton, his granddaughter Stella Ciaccio, his mother Edithe Fulton, as well as his two brothers, Mark Fulton and Matthew Fulton, and their children.

Our hearts ache for the untimely loss of our father, child, brother, uncle, and friend. However, we will choose to remember the love, laughter, and fun that he brought into the lives of those he knew.

A gathering of friends and family will be held in his honor at his mother's home in Toms River, New Jersey on August 24th at 3 PM. For friends local to Virginia, a separate open house will be held in Lake Monticello on September 6th at 6 PM.

For details regarding the addresses of both events, please contact one of his children at the phone numbers below:
