Our beloved Clayton Randolph Morris, 54, of Scottsville, died on Friday, March 27, 2026, at Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville.
He was born on February 28, 1972, a son of Calvin Randolph and Shirley Gene (Parrish) Morris.
Those preceding him in death include his father, Calvin Morris; son, Jaden Calvin Morris; and sister, Patrice Morris.
Clayton worked as a landscaper with Armstrong Landscaping in Palmyra. He began his career in landscaping working alongside his father. That is where his passion for landscaping came from. Clayton loved the outdoors, cutting grass, and being creative with his hands. Spending time with his children and grandchild was a highlight of Clayton’s life. He had an infectious smile that would light up any room he walked into. He was known for his constant ability to turn any situation into a joke and was the life of the party. The loss of Clayton will forever leave a hole in all our hearts!
In addition to his mother, survivors include his life partner, Michelle Elizabeth (Hunt) Morris; three children, Shantorrie Nash, Clayton Morris (Abby), and Chloe Morris; one granddaughter X’Yonna Nash; one sister, Victoria Parrish; and a brother, Zachary Morris. Clayton also leaves to cherish his memory a host of nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and extended family as well as a mother-in-law who he loved dearly; and two close friends, Tim Beach and Mark Montgomery. The children wish to thank Uncle Jason, who has been so supportive of them during this incredibly difficult time.
A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Fox Memorial Baptist Church by Pastor Randy Golladay. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Thacker Brothers Scottsville Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
