Corey Lane Dudding, 29, of Scottsville, Virginia Passed away on Friday, February 4th, 2022, at The University of Virginia Medical Center.
Corey was born on September 6th, 1992 in Charlottesville, Virginia.
He was preceded in death by his close friend, who was more like a brother, Dylan “Dippy” Saylor.
Corey is survived by his Mother, Jayne McDaniel and partner, Dennis Bishop; his daughter, Ostara Dudding; his Fiancé, Ashley Harris; a sister, Emily Paige; his grandmother, Janice Wilkerson McDaniel; life long friends, Darrell Major (Lil Darrell) and Chad Kildea, Christina Saylor “Mama T”, Melvin Gunter, along with an extended number of adopted Brothers, Sisters, and Friends who Corey loved dearly. Corey truly had the best of friends, all of them.
Corey loved and cherished his daughter, Ostara, more than anything in this world, she was his heart and soul. He enjoyed nature, taking hikes, and his favorite spot, “the river”. Corey went to Ohio Technical College where he obtained Autobody & Collision Repair Training. He worked at Zanes Electric as an Electrician for several years until his death. To know Corey, was to love Corey.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Neuro ICU team and the Organ Donation Team at The University of Virginia Medical Center.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 19th, 2022 at 2:00pm at Thacker Brothers Funeral Home in Scottsville, Virginia.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Neuro ICU team at UVA Hospital.
