Daniel Arnold Hudson

Daniel Arnold Hudson was born May 4, 1960, in Albemarle County, Virginia. The son of the late James and Helen Hudson.

He departed this life peacefully on August 5, 2024, comforted by his loving family. He attended Albemarle County Schools.

Preceding him in death was his beloved parents James and Helen Hudson along with his brothers Larry Hudson, Desmond Hudson and Darnell Hudson.

Daniel became a member of New Hope Baptist Church at a very young age and participated on the sunbeam choir. He loved the Lord and had a strong personal relationship with Christ. Daniel was a loyal Kanas City Chiefs fan, and often shared their victories with his oncologist, Dr. Rehman. He was passionate about helping others with odd jobs around their homes and would remind himself of Ephesians 4:32 “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as Christ God forgave you.”

He leaves to cherish his memory, Elaine Carter (Bill), sister-in-law, Phyllis Hudson; Vernice Turner (Dennis), Vernelle Caldwell (Carlton), David Hudson, Valerie Price, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. He also leaves to memory his aunt Rose Hudson of Charlottesville, Virginia, including other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at New Hope Baptist Church in Esmont with Pastor Dennis James Turner officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
