David E. Morris, 78, of Palmyra, passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at the University of Virginia Medical Center. He was born in Charlottesville on December 21, 1942, a son of the late William E. and Ruby (Dudley) Morris.
On May 19, 2001, David married his loving wife, Rachel. He worked at UVA as a HVAC Tech for 30 plus years. David was a member of Rivanna Baptist Church. He loved his early Ford Broncos and was an avid mud bogger and outdoors men.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Louise Mills.
In addition to his loving wife, left to cherish his memory are his sons, David G. Morris and wife, Sandy and Michael “Chris” Morris and wife, JoAnna; siblings, Virginia Thomas and Franklin Morris; as well as extended family and friends.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Thacker Brothers Palmyra Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Wingfield officiating. Those attending are asked to please wear a facial mask and practice social distancing.
