Doreen Arzoomanian Obituary

Doreen Dixon Mitchell Arzoomanian age 92 passed peacefully in her home on Tuesday April 23, 2024.

Heaven’s dressmaking department has gained a master seamstress. She will be met at the pearly gates by her parents James Henry Dixon (Jimmy) and Amy Thomas Dixon.

DeDe is preceded in death by her late husband Jack Arzoomanian and previous husband Charlie Mitchell.

She leaves behind her loving family and friends who were blessed to be a part of her life. Doreen is survived by her daughter Sherrie Dixon Martin and husband Ricky her son Jack (Jay) Arzoomanian and wife Lisa. Devoted grandchildren Olivia Thompson (Jon) Leslie Barbee (Brian) and Devin Arzoomanian (James). Very much adored great grandchildren. Spencer Thompson (Cam), Jordan Thompson, (Makyla), Gavin Barbee, Greyson Thompson and Aiden Arzoomanian, and a very special great-great grandson Lennox Barbour.

Doreen was a true English rose, born in Saint Helens England on September 7, 1931. She was a ballet dancer with the Royal Ballet and spoke fondly of her time in England. Doreen was well known for her trademark teapot purse that she was never without. She was an accomplished seamstress and mastered the art of crochet. Doreen was an esteemed member of the Red Hat Society as well as various clubs and organizations. Her love of animals was limitless. She will be missed by the neighborhood wildlife who were always guaranteed a daily snack.

The Family will have a private celebration of life.

The burial will be held at Evergreen Cemetery (Goldsboro NC).

She will be laid to rest along with her loving parents in St Helens England.
