Dylan Shane “Dippy” Saylor, 29, of Scottsville, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at his residence. He was born in Charlottesville on March 18, 1992, to the late Rodney Brian and Christina Mae (Reddick) Saylor, who still survives.
Dippy graduated in 2011 from Fluvanna County High School. He was previously employed by Walmart as a shelf stocker. Dippy greatly enjoyed spending time outdoors, meditating, and fishing. Watching Rick and Morty was one of his other favorite ways to past time. He also enjoyed dressing up and hanging out with friends and family. Dippy will be remembered for his large and giving heart.
In addition to his father, Dippy was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Frank and Pat Saylor and his maternal grandfather, Donald Reddick.
In addition to his mother, Dippy is survived by his brother, Austin Saylor; maternal grandparents, Elizabeth Reddick and Joseph Sangston; uncle, Larry Reddick and wife, Sylvia and Ed Saylor and wife, Shannon; great aunt, Jane Kitchen; cousins: Vanessa Reddick, Justin Reddick, and Brandon Harnish; second cousins, Kevin Crawford and wife, Tricia and Brian Crawford; as well as extended family and friends.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at Thacker Brothers Lake Monticello Funeral Home.
