Early Franklin Dunivan, Jr.

Early Franklin Dunivan, Jr., 86 of Scottsville, VA, born January 5, 1938, son of the late Early F. Dunivan, Sr., and Elizabeth Harlow Dunivan, passed peacefully at home surrounded by family on July 26, 2024.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 67 years, Iris Jean Butler Dunivan, two daughters, Jeanie Dunivan Burgess and husband, Leonard of Scottsville, VA and Christine Dunivan Kingrea and husband, Bill of Charlottesville, VA; one son, Kevin Franklin Dunivan of Chesterfield, VA; one granddaughter, Ashley Kingrea Mayo and husband Adam of Charlottesville, VA; two sisters, Pauline Johnson and Linda Cottrell; and also, a close friend, Lewis Jamerson of Chesterfield, VA.

He was preceded in death by four brothers, Bernard, Walter Lee, Gene Byrd, and Charles; and two sisters, Virginia Wood and Brenda Mae Harvey.

Frank was baptized in 1983 as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses.  He had a firm hope of resurrection. He loved his family and friends, and was always ready to help others, a hard worker, he loved outdoors and the red, golden colors of fall trees.

Frank enjoyed playing music with his friends and loved fishing.

The family would like to thank dear friends and Hospice staff for all the loving care and support given to us.
