Eddie will be missed by many in the community. He served the community for many years as a Funeral Director with Hawkins (now Teague) Funeral Service. He then worked as a Construction Supervisor with the Seville Group in Stuarts Draft. In his last several years he served as the President of Alberene Cemetery.
Eddie left his family and friends with many fond memories. Memories such as building things and working alongside him in the garden. He always greeted his loved ones with a smile and a hug, and always made sure to say “I Love You and be safe” whenever they saw or talked to him. The family will cherish the way he loved and protected his grandchildren with all his heart.
The family will receive friends from 3:00- 5:00 PM on Saturday, July 15, 2023, at Thacker Brothers Scottsville Funeral Home. Following the visitation the family will be hosting a gathering at Eddie’s residence.
A graveside service in Alberene Cemetery will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Gentiva Hospice 941 Glenwood Station Lane Unit 204 Charlottesville Va 22901.
