Eileen Mary (Fogarty) Pillar, of Scottsville, passed away peacefully in her children’s presence Friday, July 16, 2021.
Eileen was born in Waterbury Connecticut on August 21, 1946 to Charles Thomas Fogarty and Beverly Munson Fogarty. She married Harold Pillar in October 20, 1967 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She worked at Martha Jefferson Hospital as a switchboard operator and aide as well as the United States Postal Service. She actively enjoyed serving in local area food banks, Friends of Bill, and Saint Anne’s Parish of Scottsville. Her individual outreach to those who had no other support will be missed.
She was preceded in death by both parents and sister, Edie.
Eileen is survived by Harold Pillar, her husband; children: David, Heather Haislip, and Ashley; siblings: David, Kathy, Bev, and Chad; grandchildren: Matt, Ryan Haislip, Tyler, Caden, Emerson; great grandchildren: Edward Haislip, Samuel Haislip, Liam Branch, and Josephine-May Haislip.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on July 31, 2021 at Christ Church, 900 Glendower Rd., Scottsville, VA 24590.
