Ellen Anne O'Neill

Ellen Anne O’Neill, 70, of Scottsville, died on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 in Charlottesville.

She was born on January 17, 1954, in Syracuse, NY, a daughter of the late John Patrick and Stephanie Francis (Stopyro) O’Neill.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph A. Lusignan and Rory M. O’Neill; and two infant siblings, William and Mary Lusignan.

Ms. O’Neill began work as a guard and later a Dispatcher with the New York Power Authority, eventually retiring as a Senior Economist.  In her early years, she worked as a Guard and Dispatcher with the Sheriff’s Department in Utica, NY.  She loved remodeling houses, gardening, crafting, sewing.

Survivors include a sister, Sharon Joan O’Neill, and a special niece, Aeron Lee Teratha, both of Scottsville, VA and a number of other nieces and nephews.

In keeping with her wishes, there will be no formal services.
