Eunice Estelle (Adcock) Walker

Eunice Estelle (Adcock) Walker, 91, of Wingina, passed away on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Monroe Health and Rehab. She was born in Nelson County on March 14, 1929, a daughter of the late Thomas Gilmore and Lula (Dolan) Adcock.

Eunice was a devoted wife, caring for her late husband, William S. Walker for many years. She was also a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great-grandmother. Eunice was a member of Woodland United Methodist Church, and served as treasure of the Woodland United Methodist Women’s Club. She was an avid participate in TV gameshows and greatly enjoyed doing word search puzzles.

Addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Joyce Ragland.

Survivors include her children: William Thomas Walker of Wingina, Robert Elwyn Walker and wife, Janis of South Carolina, Eunice Ann Hiner of Wingina, Rhonda Lee Cohen and husband, Arthur of Florida, and Lisa (Walker) Davidson and husband Dwayne of North Carolina; six grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; one great great-grandchild; special friend, Kate Whorely; as well as extended family and friends.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at Woodland United Methodist Church Cemetery. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery, wear a facial mask, and practice social distancing. Active pallbearers will be Dwayne Davdison, Rick Hiner, David Ragland, Lee Ragland, Alan Stadler, and Robbie Templeton.

Due to Covid-19 Regulations, there will be no formal visitation, family and friends may come by Thacker Brothers Scottsville Funeral Home on Monday, January 4, 2021 from 12:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. to view and pay their respects.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Eunice’s memory to Woodland United Methodist Church, 2987 Woodland Church Rd., Buckingham, VA 23921.
