Fonda Kaye Herring

Fonda Kaye Herring, 55, of Woodridge, Virginia passed away January 24th,2022 at UVA Medical Center. She was born November 18th, 1966 and was the daughter of the late Richard Dickie Spradlin and surviving mother, Shirley Haislip.

She is also survived by her husband of 32 years, Dennis Herring, special grandson “son” Joey Herring Jr brother’s Richard Glenn Spradlin his partner Kristy Hoover and her son Austin , nephew Kevin Moore Spradlin, brother Earl Spradlin and wife Denise all from Woodridge. Two special nieces Khloe Gibson & Delaney Moore. Special Ex sister in law Sharon L Moore and the entire Moore family.

Fonda was a step mother to Dennis Herring Jr, Dwayne & his wife Kathie, Joey Herring and wife Kristy and 5 Step Grandchildren.  Additional survivors include her Uncle Herbert Fuzzy Spradlin & daughter Reva Spradlin, Wallace Midge Spradlin & wife Judy their son Shawn Spradlin and Aunt Peggy Spradlin, Aunts, Marie Willis, son Brian and daughter Sheila, Brenda Denby and daughter Tracy, Sandra Tooley and son Travis. Additional Cousins Kim, Kelly , Karla, Angela, Lisa, Roy, Chuck & Ryan.

Fonda was preceded in death by her father Richard Dickie Spradlin, nephew Brian “Boots” Spradlin, Uncle Edward Duck Spradlin, Roger & Buck Haislip,  Aunt Alice Spradlin & Cousin Michael Scott Spradlin “Scotty”.

Fonda was one of a kind always loving caring and devoted to her family & friends. She had a heart of gold and would give you the shirt off her back. There is nothing she wasn’t willing to do for someone if she could, in her time she had been a bus driver for Albemarle County Schools was the owner of Woodridge Market and a CNA at UVA Medical Center working with the babies. She enjoyed camping, fishing, yard work and Bingo. She loved animal’s any and all kinds. Fonda loved day trips and was up most the night working on some type of project. She was our go to for any and everything, she will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

Family will receive friends Sunday, January 30th at Thacker Brother’s Funeral home from 4-6 pm, a funeral will be conducted Monday, 11am January 31st and Interment to follow at Scottsville Cemetery. Family and friends will gather after graveside at New Bethel Methodist Church in Woodridge.

The family would like to thank the UVA Medical team for the care Fonda received her last few days.
