Franklin Edward Ardinger, Jr. best known as PopPop, 87 of Palmyra passed away on November 16, 2023, at his residence.

PopPop, was a man of many talents including fishing, working on cars, playing golf, anything that involved water sports, traveling, painting, baking, watching football (always the Redskins), and spending time with family and his beloved dogs.
After retirement, he moved to Lake Monticello in the early 1990s where he enjoyed spending time with family boating, swimming, and fishing. He also worked at Lake Monticello Marina in retirement and was a member of the Lions Club.
Franklin was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. He was a great role model to many, genuine, and never complained. He was tough as nails, a self-taught and, a self- grown man. He was known for his witty commentary and humor.
