Genevieve Linda (Agee) Jones

Genevieve Linda (Agee) Jones, 77, of Esmont, died on Sunday, October 20, 2024 in Charlottesville.

She was born on May 24, 1947 in Charlottesville, daughter of the late James and Lucille (Sayers) Agee.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobbie Alton Jones; brother, Wayne Agee.

Mrs. Jones worked as a nurse at the University of Virginia Hospital for 37 years.  She enjoyed cooking, baking, playing cards and crocheting.

Survivors include her daughter, Sheila White (Jimmy) of Charlottesville; two grandchildren, Angel White of Fluvanna, and Jay White of Charlottesville; one great-grandson, Elijah Snowden; brother, Clay Agee of North Garden; six nieces and five nephews.   

The family would like to extend special thanks to her caregivers, Brittney Mawyer, Jessica Agee, and Travis Agee.

A graveside service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, October 24, 2024 at Alberene Cemetery by Pastor Randy Golladay.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Hospice of the Piedmont.
