Gloria June Hipskind, loving wife and mother of three, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, March13, 2021, at 2:05pm
Gloria was born on September 3, 1942 in Buffalo, NY to Max and Jean Wright. She received her Nursing degree from the St. Joseph School of Nursing in Fort Wayne, Indiana in 1963, and practiced nursing for 42 years. On September 5, 1964, she married Timothy Hipskind. They raised two sons, Norm and Tim, and one daughter, Wendy.
She was a member of St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, a retired Registered Nurse, and a homemaker. She enjoyed sewing, painting, reading, traveling, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Gloria was preceded in death by her father, Max, her mother, Jean and her brother, Bobby Wright. She is survived by her husband, Tim; their three children: Norm Hipskind, Tim Hipskind and Wendy Lear; her brother, Gordon Wright; and her grandchildren: Timothy Johnathan Michael Hipskind, Kelly Lynn Hipskind, Timothy Garland Hipskind, and Gracelyn Hope Lear. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
A memorial mass service will be held at St. Peter and Paul at Lake Monticello, Virginia.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Thacker Brothers Lake Monticello Funeral Home.
