Harold Calvin Hudson

Harold C. Hudson went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday Nov 2, 2020 at Hospice of the Piedmont Center for Acute Care.

Harold served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War from May 1,1952 thru April 30,1954 when he received an Honorable Discharge. Harold loved his military days serving as a Medic.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Eva Hudson; wife, Bertha Hudson; and his sisters, Pauline Morris, Eva Mallory, and Mildred Mallory. He leaves to cherish his memory 2 brothers, Charles Hudson and Frank Hudson (Alease) of North Garden, VA; his companion of 25 years, Anna Maupin of North Garden, VA; Brenda Watkins (Orlando) of Esmont, VA (who was like the daughter he never had); Mary Pleasants of Charlottesville, VA; Betty Campbell of North Garden, VA; Danny Maupin (Lori) of Callao, VA; a number of nieces and nephews; and many other extended family and friends.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 pm, Friday Nov 6, 2020 at Hardware Baptist Church, 3452 Red Hill Road, Charlottesville, VA. Reverend Danny Maupin will be officiating.  

The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm at the church.

Interment will immediately follow in Holly Memorial Gardens, 3251 Seminole Trail, Charlottesville, with military honors.

The family would like to thank Cedars Nursing Home, especially Andrea, for the love and compassion that was given to Harold these last 3 and a half years and also Hospice Acute Care.

Due to COVID-19, participants of all services will be required to wear face masks and observe social distancing.
