Harold Lee Lewis

Harold Lee Lewis, 91, of Montpelier, passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2024 in Richmond.

He was born on March 27, 1933 in North Carolina, a son of the late Lawrence Russell and Maude Octavia (Payne) Lewis.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Grace Lewis Davis.

Mr. Lewis served in the U.S Army and retired as an insurance adjuster and appraiser. He owned Lewis Auto Appraisal for 44 years, enjoyed square dancing and being outdoors.

Survivors include two sons, Craig Hunter Lewis of Glen Allen, and Mark Steven Lewis of Montpelier; a brother Fred Lewis of Palmyra; three sisters Shirley Sclater (M.W.) of Ashland, Patsy Walls of Palmyra; and Lois Moore of Montpelier; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 18, 2024 at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church by Pastor Timothy Stark.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 17, 2024 at Thacker Brothers Scottsville Funeral Home.
