Harry Richardson Davis, 88, of Scottsville, passed away on Friday January 10, 2025, at Regency at Augusta in Fishersville, Virginia.
He was born January 20, 1936, to the late James Edwards Davis and Sarah Hester Winston Davis.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Edna Moss Davis. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Calvin, Cliff, Edward, John Henry, George, LeRoy, Emma Napier, Virginia Barker, Kathleen Barker, Eleanor Hull, and two sons in law, Gene Ward and Michael Pace.
Harry is survived by his three children; Diane Pace (Richard), Dale Davis (Edna), and Kathy Pace, all of Scottsville; seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
Harry was a lifetime farmer and worked for many years at Parrish Lumber Company and after retiring, he went to work as a security guard for Armstrong Furniture Company.
Before dementia took over, Harry was a happy-go-lucky person. He enjoyed playing cards on weekends, joking with his children, and loved talking with his friends.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Thursday, January 16th, 2025, in Scottsville Cemetery, Scottsville, Virginia with Oliver Matney officiating.
Calling hours will be from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM on Wednesday, January 15th, 2025, at Thacker Brothers Funeral Home, 650 Valley Street, Scottsville, Virginia 24590.
