Helen Louise (Norcross) Morris, 89, of Scottsville, died on August 17, 2021, at the University of Virginia Hospital. She was born December 18, 1931, in Charlottesville, a daughter of the late Lynn Moore and Lucy (Collins) Norcross. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Murrell “Sonny” Morris; a brother, James Howard Norcross, Sr.; and a nephew, James Norcross, Jr.
Helen worked as a floral designer for many years at University Florist in Charlottesville and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Scottsville. She loved her design work, gardening, the beach, and spending time with her family.
Survivors include a son Robert L. Morris (Cynthia) of Esmont; and a granddaughter, Cheyenne N. Morris (Josh Brown) of Buckingham; great-grandchildren, Remington, Kimber and Willow; a special niece, Leisa Norcross (David Hunt); great-nephew, Robert James Chisholm (Krisna), a great-great-nephew, Mason Chisholm; and a great-niece, Samantha Chisholm (Kiefer Bunnell), and a great-great-niece, Layla Bunnell.
A graveside service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 22, 2021 at Fluvanna Baptist Church Cemetery by Pastor David Morris. The family will receive friends from 6:00 -7:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Thacker Brothers Scottsville Funeral Home.
