Hulda Florence Cochran, 76, of Scottsville, died on Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at the University of Virginia Medical Center.
She was born on May 20, 1946 in Renick, WV, a daughter of the late Maynard Hill and Gracie Hulda (Holmes) Cochran.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Nelson Cochran; two brothers, Marvin and Charlie Cochran; a sister, Bertha Mae Herring; a sister-in-law, Lillie Cochran; and special friends Willamae and Tommy Eustler.
Hulda worked at General Electric. She loved flower gardening, animals - especially her rabbits, cooking, canning, and grocery shopping.
Survivors include two sons, Robert Cochran his wife, Jeannie, and Roy Cochran (Katie); six grandchildren, Ryan (Sammi), Harley (Clayton), Hope, Roy, Jr. (Brooke), "Scooby-Doo" Cochran, and Jackson; three brothers, Maynard Cochran (Nancy), Sam Cochran and wife, Kathy, and Bernard Cochran; nieces and nephews, Michelle, Sam, Jr., Danielle, Lori, Christy, and Charlie, Jr.; special friends, Pat Brady, Chris Shaver, Wanda and Andrew Roach, Nell Harlow (Tim), Beth Gardner, and Tubbs; two sisters-in-law Mary Jean Wells and Bernice Cochran; and a brother-in-law Tommy Herring.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 8, 2022, at Thacker Brothers Scottsville Funeral Home. Burial will be in Old Droop Cemetery, Hillsboro, WV.
