Isidore "Izzy" James Astrin

Isidore “Izzy” James Astrin passed away peacefully on April 23, 2022 in the arms of his loving parents at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville, VA.  Izzy was born on April 21, 2022. 

While he was only with us for a short while, Izzy touched many lives.  Every moment was filled with an outpouring of love from his Mommy, Morgan, his Daddy, Justin, and his big sister, Helen. 

In addition to his parents and sister, Izzy is survived by his great grandparents, Leonard & Eileen Astrin; grandparents, James & Marie Thomas, Jinja Notargiacomo, Lisa Astrin, Steve & Carol Astrin; aunt and uncles, Lindsey Roke, Bryan Astrin, & Joseph Notargiacomo; his puppies, Gus & Nora; and many additional relatives and friends who love him.  He will be in our hearts and in our thoughts forever. 

The family would like to thank the staff at UVA’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit & Pediatric Cardiology Team for the incredible care provided to Izzy and his entire family.

Anyone who wishes to honor Izzy’s life can do so by directing donations to Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Palmyra, VA.  The funds will be used to support ongoing programming for the children of the parish community.

Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
