Jacqueline Annette McDaniel, 57, of Scottsville, passed away on September 30, 2022, after a long battle with cancer.
She was born on December 19, 1964, in Charlottesville, a daughter of Bonita (Bellamy) Carter and the late Curtis Henry Carter.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Wendy Annette McDaniel; a sister, Bonnie Carter; nephew, Cody Carter; and her grandparents, Harry Adolphus Bellamy, Sr., Maude Bellamy.
Jackie was a homemaker who dearly loved her family. She enjoyed camping, cooking, especially during the holidays; loved animals, music and dancing.
In addition to her mother, survivors include her husband of 39 years, Nelson McDaniel, Sr.; two daughters, Ginia Wood (Ricky, Sr.) and Samantha McDaniel (Aaron Sallee); son Nelson McDaniel, Jr. (Harley Manley); one brother, Brian Carter (Veronica); six grandsons, Sean Fitz, Jaisen McDaniel, Alexander McDaniel, Zaxton McDaniel, Ricky Wood, Jr., and Jasper Sallee; two granddaughters, Airyus Wood and Adrianna McDaniel; honorary children, Leandra Martin and Lawrence Martin Jr.; and many other “adopted” children that she loved like her own. Her kindness and friendship will be dearly missed by her chosen sisters, Lynnley Thornton; cousin Michelle Brookman, and Susan Martin. A host of nieces, nephews, and extended family will miss the warmth of Jackie’s loving presence in their lives.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 10, 2022, at Scottsville Cemetery by Pastor Bruce Wasson.
