Jacqueline Elaine "Jacqui" (Johnson) Repass

Jacqueline Elaine “Jacqui” (Johnson) Repass, 85, went to be with her Savior on Thursday, January 2, 2025.

She was born on November 28, 1939, in North Tazewell, Virginia, a daughter of the late Alex Preston and Ethel (Lawrence) Johnson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Daniel P. Johnson, William F. Johnson, and Robert L. Johnson; and a sister, Jolene Martin Bowden.

Jacqui was a 1957 graduate of Tazewell High School where she met the love of her life, Floyd Burton Repass.  They married on December 15, 1956, during her senior year of high school, and together built a beautiful life of service for the Lord.  After coming to know Christ as her personal savior in October of 1963, she attended Piedmont Bible College, where she later served with the alumni association.  Jacqui loved people and was faithful to share the gospel with everyone she met.

Over 55 years of ministry, Floyd and Jacqui served together at Northside Baptist Church in Madison Heights, Virginia; College Park Baptist Church in Reidsville, North Carolina; Fundamental Baptist Church in Beckley, West Virginia; Agape Baptist Church in Mebane, North Carolina; and 27 years at Community Baptist Church in Graham, North Carolina.  Her many talents included planning, teaching, and speaking at church events, women’s conferences, and Sunday School classes, and various responsibilities as Pastor’s Secretary for Floyd.  With a love for music, she served as church pianist, sang in many musical ensembles, directed children’s and teen choirs, and wrote and directed Christmas programs. A talented artist, she enjoyed painting, flower arranging and decorating.

Survivors include her husband of 68 years, Floyd Repass; a son, Preston Repass (Gail) of Ohio; a daughter, Kiperly Coley (Tim) of Virginia; grandchildren, Charity Miley (Andy), Megan Repass and Alan Saunders, Micah Coley and fiancé Logan Inglesby, Isaac Coley, and Nicholas Coley; and great-grandchildren, Miles, Memphis, Maverick, and Mariner Miley; Kaia, Adley, Aiden, and Aria Coley.

A funeral service will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at Community Baptist Church in Graham, North Carolina, by Pastors Nick Holloway, Don Carter, and Tim Madaris.  Burial will follow in Alamance Memorial Park in Burlington.

The family will receive friends at the church from 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., immediately prior to the service.
