James Willard Coles

James Willard Coles, 68, of Scottsville, passed away at his residence on September 30, 2024.
He was born in Albemarle County on January 9, 1956, the son of the late James Hocker and Ora Lee Rush. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Carolyn C. Moon.
James is survived by his wife, Margie Catherine Ayers Coles; three daughters, Catrina Barbour and husband Matthew; April Coles, and Jessica Coles; one sister Barbara Shaw; four grandchildren, Sierra, T’Keyah, Mariah, Anubia, and another grandchild on the way; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends; and his four-legged companion, Buster.
James was a construction worker, who was a hard worker and a great family supporter. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, and hunting, especially squirrels.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm. on Friday, October 11, 2024, at Union Baptist Church with Reverend Sheldon Page officiating.
