Janet Mae (Woodie) Peterson

Janet Mae (Woodie) Peterson, 79, joined her Lord and Savior on November 3, 2022 at University of Virginia Medical Center.

She was born on August 10. 1943 in Charlottesville, a daughter of the late Lizzie Celments and Buster Woodie.

In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death by her first husband, Paul Nelson and her second husband, Charles Peterson.

She is survived by her son and his wife, Ricky and Dana Nelson, and a host of friends and family. They will miss her energetic personality and will remember her kindness and willingness to help anyone in need.
