Jennifer Marie Oliver

Jennifer Marie Oliver, 90, of Orange, went to be with her Lord and Savior and was welcomed into the Heavenly Choir on Saturday, April 27, 2024.

She was born on September 26, 1933, in Taunton, MA, a daughter of the late Abel and Mary (Mendes) Oliver.

Throughout her life she had a great passion and joy in singing and dancing.  She loved her family and always made it a point to tell them how much she loved them.  Her cards and presents were always signed, “With Lots of Love, MOM.”  She will be truly missed by her extended family at the 20/20 Ministry and Northside Baptist Church in Charlottesville.  It was because of her unwavering faith that she was able to overcome the difficult times in her life. 

Survivors include her children, Gary Rice (Donna), Jeffery Rice, Harold Phillips, Jr. (Jeanie), and April Rice; grandchildren, Chris and Jessica Rice, Michele and Jeremiah Baty, Erica Rice and Dan Paisley, Zachary and Angela Phillips, and Rachel Phillips; great-grandchildren, McKenzie Baty, Molly and Maddox Phillips, Elijah Rice, and Richey and Riley Kight.   

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery in Kents Store.

There will be no viewing or visitation.

The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to all the staff at Dogwood Village, Orange, who provided the best of care during her time at the facility.  Their caring attention to Jennifer and all residents is unsurpassed.
