Linda (Jarrett) Gilligan
Obituary
Linda (Jarrett) Gilligan, 74, of Lake Monticello, died on Monday, April 17, 2023 at her home.
She was born on July 28, 1948, in Jacksonville, FL, a daughter of the late Gomer Ferris and Joanne (Fearon) Jarrett.
Linda retired from the Fairfax County Police Department and attended Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening, caring for plants, and traveling.
Survivors include her husband, William Kirby Gilligan; two daughters, Cameron Plunkett (Dan) of Bristow, and Alex Quinn of Joliet, IL; two sons, Keenan Gilligan (Kim) of Knoxville, TN, and Brennan Gilligan (Ashlee) of Warrenton; three grandchildren, Fiona Kirby, Virginia Fay, and Anna James Gilligan; and one sister, Mary Suzanne Meadows of Morris, IL.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church with a committal service following at 2:00 PM in Culpeper National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5:30 – 7:00 PM on Monday, April 24, 2023, at Thacker Brothers Lake Monticello Funeral Home.
