Linda Sue (Crickenberger) Welch

Linda Sue Crickenberger Welch, 62, of Ruckersville went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at her home surrounded by her family and friends.

She was born December 16, 1960, in Charlottesville, VA, the daughter of the late Wendell Wright Crickenberger

In addition to her mother, Geraldine Roberts Crickenberger and friend Gregory; Sue is survived by her husband, Andrew Welch; two sons, Rudy Sprouse and wife Felicia and Christopher Sprouse; one daughter, Makayleonna Welch; two brothers, Dallas W. Crickenberger and friend, Sandy and Cyrus D. Crickenberger and wife Nancy; two sisters, Tamlia Shafer-Morris and husband Edgar and Lisa Crickenberger and friend Michael; six grandchildren, Austin Sprouse, Brianna Sprouse, Kaelynn Sprouse, Destiny Shifflett, Caleb Shifflett, and Jase Shifflett; and four great grandchildren, Emma Ayala, Kaybree Ayala, Everleigh Ayala, and Khloe Ayala. She is also survived by her pets, Boomer and Chole.

She was a homemaker who enjoyed shopping, spending time at the beach and camping with family and friends.  Sue was always helping friends in many ways. 

Sue has touched the hearts of many and will always be remembered for her kind heart and spirit.  She will truly be missed by many.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 17, 2023, at Thacker Brothers Scottsville Funeral Home with Pastors Jane Chichowe and Ronald Sipe officiating. Interment will follow in Hardware Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 16, 2023, at Thacker Brothers Scottsville Funeral Home.
